Corporate Facility Services received an unprecedented six awards in 2008, with the Cary Chamber's "Employer of the Year" topping the list, according to Tim Wilson, CFS president.
"While we are certainly thrilled about all of the acknowledgments we received last year for growth, profitability, economic impact and giving back to the community, the kudos we received for being a good, rewarding place to work are among the most gratifying," Wilson said. "It recognizes the corporate culture we've strived to build and maintain over the last eight years."
Winning companies were judged on innovation, success, community
service and work environment in the Cary Chamber's 10th annual awards
competition. Judges were particularly impressed with CFS' policies that
provide paid time-off for educational opportunities and volunteering in
schools and the matching-gifts program for employee donations. Judges
also commended CFS for maintaining a work atmosphere that encourages
open communications.
Wilson said being named the Employer of the
Year also was the award that had the most direct correlation to CFS'
insistence on customer service excellence.
"We know that
associates who are satisfied in their careers work harder to satisfy our
clients," Wilson said.
In addition, CFS also received the
following awards last year:
- 2008 Movers and Shakers Award -
Business Leader Media
- 2008 Small Business of the Year - Greater
Raleigh Chamber of Commerce
- 2008 Top 100 Small Businesses of NC -
Business Leader Media
- 2008 Impact Entrepreneurs - Business
Leader Media
- 2008 Fast 50 - Triangle Business Journal
The
six awards CFS received in 2008 bring the total number of business
accolades to 12 since the company began in 2000.
